Father Vincent O'Keefe, S.J., a member of the New York Province of the Society of Jesus, was a General Assistant to Pedro Arrupe during the entirety of his term as Superior General for the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), and served as the Vicar General of the Society after Fr. Arrupe suffered a debilitating stroke.
Fr. O'Keefe has written and spoken extensively on the character and legacy of Fr. Arrupe, and on Pope John Paul II's intervention into the Society of Jesus after Fr. Arrupe's stroke.

The interviews to be found on this site present Fr. O'Keefe's perspective on what Arrupe brought to the Society of Jesus and on the events surrounding that papal intervention into its governance.
In 2010, the Wisconsin Province of the Society of Jesus produced a set of videos with prominent American Jesuits about different aspects of Jesuit history. The videos to be found on this site are from the interviews with Fr. O'Keefe. All material has been approved by Fr. O'Keefe.
